Had fun with this Gary, although might have been a bit to ambitious for me at my stage of learning perspective but still enjoyed it. :D
Stygg.
You got the perspective right, stygg.
Now let's look at the lighting.
Shadows fall in the opposite direction of the sun. Your hint to the sun's position in this photo is to the left of the waste bin. Your lettering needs to have shadows running to the right and below the text.

Hi and welcome to a little corner of TalkGraphics where the folks at Xara let me discuss the monthly tutorials.
Did you read the tutorial?
It's >>>right here on Xara Xone<<<
Come back after you've worked through the text page steps and if you have any questions then, I'll be happy to try to answer them.
My Best,
Gary
That was fun, I enjoyed messing with things. Thanks Gary.

Nice piece of editorializing, Mate! :)
I think it's not just good therapy, but also educational to encourage people to "mess" with existing material.
Tell me you learned something, though, please!
My Best,
Gary
Ok Gary, a couple of small updates, the shadow and small sign requesting customers not to litter. Eating chips and fish right out of the paper wrapping with your fingers is a traditional way of eating it, especially after a night out with your mates at the pub, that or a curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, the Brits. love Indian food. :D
Stygg
Thats a given and has probably been taken for granted with all this fun, but yes absolutely!!:

Hah!
I'm near-sighted, but not blind, grasshopper!
Now, let's fool with the Envelope mode, which was the point of the tutorial this month.
Curved surfaces...
Here's a blank 12 oz. beverage can (because thet's the way they're sold in The States). I've included the garbage text in the Xara document.
Can this an experiment in good design and also figuring out the curvature of the can and how much of the label to use.
