Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?
@Acorn,
If you have a list of the workflow improvements or the links to the threads I'd be happy to go through and review them, adding them to the list where they are missing
Thanks
Rob

Thank you Rob. We all would appreciate even a simple acknowledgement that a bug or change has been added to the Backlog, regardless of whether is is going to be in any future rework.
Here are the earlier four as a sampler for (1) They were included (2) They are fixed (3) They won't be addressed (4) They are not relevant to the Thread's purpose.
There is no point is overloading the Thread if you think they are not worth the candle.
I am using TG's Advanced Search > Search Single Content Type:: User Name Acorn, Latest Posts by User; Search in Forum(s): Dear Xara; Find Posts: A Year Ago.
Clearly I have been busy so you then have to walk through the 40+ Threads with no Replies.

New one and quite small.
Clicking on one of the nine boxes in the Set origin position should toggle on the Rotation handles control.

Another small one.
With no object select and the Rotation handles toggled on, clicking an object should keep the Rotation handles toggles on.
In other words, stop the Rotation handles icon being scared.

Hi,
Using the rotation origin as scaling blobs center when would also be very useful, especially when aligniing bitmaps.
Using the info panel arrows is a hit and miss process.

Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?
What would be very helpful is when 'Editing Inside a Group' by double clicking...
Have the rest of the design still show but have it perhaps locked and displayed slightly faded.
So the Group stands out but still be able to see the overall design you are working on.
Thanks!
Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?
oh yes - that would make the edit inside actually so much more useful - why are we expected to work 'out of context' ?
ditto clipview - would it not be so much more useful if you could see how it was going to be clipped as you make the objects to be clipped...

Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?
I would like to suggest a different colour or hatching pattern to show the pasteboard areas that go beyond the rulers. (see attached mockup below).
Attachment 123913
This would then indicate you are entering the 'Twilight Zone' where objects can disappear when zooming, and right-click-drag copied objects can unexpectedly jump across hyperspace.
To experience the issue with zooming:
a) open new A4 Portrait (blank)
b) zoom out to 25%
c) draw or paste something on the pasteboard near the right edge
d) zoom back to 100%
e) now try and find what you have just pasted or drawn!
To witness the hyperjump (also see attached screen clip Attachment 123914):
a) open new A4 Portrait (blank)
b) zoom out to 25%
c) draw or something (an ellipse for example) on the pasteboard near the right edge
d) right-click-drag-copy the object to the right
e) notice anything spooky?
f) right-click-drag-copy the object to the left
g) notice something not spooky?
Obviously this is an extreme example, but if for example, you are zoomed in when you do this, the new copy can often be placed completely off screen and out view so you have to zoom out or scroll about to find it.
Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?
Another Improvement would be if lets say I'm Using the Shadow Tool...
Perhaps Small Copy & Paste Buttons? I noticed there is room for them.
Forgive me if already mentioned somewhere... I don't always read every comment
