Really valuable post, thanks for shared this, this is covering with fantastic and really fantastic tips..
Ah... surely you jest. The fee is not for using Paypal, but using paypal for a manual purchase through Xara
as they have stated. Don't get angry, I too was a little upset -- but you need to dig for other solutions.
Xara DOES give a list of other vendors (and the prices are the same;) ...
I used a different vendor that accepted Paypal as an option INSTEAD of a manual payment via Paypal=>Xara.
That is where you went wrong... and that, my friend, is why you paid the extra $15 for manual processing.
Agreed, yes, Paypal should be an optional method of payment, however, their processor doesn't accept Paypal.
I have solved this issue, however, it is still a MX bug far as I can tell.
1. Open up a blank page and the double click or drag & drop...
2. Cut the video or audio player...
(Xara call them Placeholders located under Web Properties)
3. Navigate to the page you want the "placeholder"
4. Paste it in, however, you may still have mime/issues.
I have not dug into the issues bugs, however, I know that I
do get them probably due to mp4,mp3 format.
It seems that Xara MX only works with certain formatted
audio/video files... at least you will be able to bypass the
error that you mentioned.
Also someone mention to use "save as..." instead of "save" if you are getting a save error.
Hi I've just been reading about MX Versions 8 and realise it's about time I got up to date with my software. I'm using WD6 at the moment, will I be able to open all pages created using WD6 in MX please
Yes
