Re: Is slow loading of Designer Pro 11 Normal
Please let me do some copy editing to my previous remark in post #43; I have a bias that expressed as the truth instead of an opinion, and that was unfair.

Others enjoy buying a finished product, and getting down immediately to working with software.
And with the possible exception of when you’re in a jail cell and your roommate is 8 feet tall, inked over 95% of his well-muscled body, and named Bubba...everyone should feel free to express their own feelings.”
I feel better about getting this off my chest, and I hope you do, too.

As little as I like going back on-topic, Ron started this thread concerning slow loading time for XGDP 11. Ron, was your question answered about anyone else having this problem? If so, can we go off-topic again?

At this point, I've concluded that yes, it has, indirectly.
Thanks everyone, most sincerely!

agreed. before it was done for higher quality/better specs hardware. nowadays it's all the leds and watercooling mods to show off your mad skills. meh. earlier this year i just bought the family desktop prebuilt cos it was practically the same specs and cost compared to building myself. personally i'd rather spend that time out in the garage :D

'katie' a personal favourite:
Re: Is slow loading of Designer Pro 11 Normal
I think I owned a Fender Bandmaster amp in the late '60s that had several of Katie's family inside of the case.
I wonder why the Tolex vinyl used to come loose from the cabinet after several hours of use?

a combination of heat, spilled beer? lousy adhesive? sure use to happen :D
school stage had a system with TT22 [I think] - anode cap valves [tubes if you insist] anyway - knocking on 200 watt RMS

A Bandmaster is sort of like an AM radio in the 1960s, except it wasn't as portable, and instead of sticking your ear into it, you plugged an electric guitar into it. An electric guitar is...
oh, forget it...

Ron - a modern example of a valve audio amp

only 100 watts, but is using TT22 [they are the big ones with the anode connections at the top rather than through the base [allows for higher working voltage]

I've been torturing my wife the same way for 45 years. Now she just ignores me. (heh, like anyone was listening anyway)
