Yes Intbel,
I can replicate that. I get a different AVE each time but it relpicates. I can't think why anyone would go through this (delete Layer 1) process though. But it is a bug.
A minor problem, which my daughter noticed is carried over from previous versions but in the help files, colour is spelt wrong, though thankfully not on the colour editor, colour gallery labels etc.
Confusing for the younger readers I feel :)
Derek
I don't know about your package, but in my help file, the word "color" is spelled correctly, as well as in the color editor and color gallery :D

Xara still seems to be suffering from a long standing issue with TIFF files that contain colour profiles. The attached image shows the same TIFF file drawn in both Xara and in Office. As you can see, the Xara version doesn't look so good.
The original TIFF file I used is here.
Jon, I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. I think you imported the Symbol tiff image of the MC-70 into Xara and inserted it into an Office document and you see them rendered differently on your screen.
I imported the tiff image into Xara Xtreme Pro and opened it in Photoshop 7.0 using the imbedded profile. Here are screen grabs showing them side by side.

I've had it happen a couple more times since mentioning it. I can't make it happen either, it just does sometimes.

AHA! I've solved it...(Xara are aware of this now BTW).
behold your bug:
1. close and load xara
2. drag a photo onto the document from the clipart gallery
3. double click to load XPE
4. click the tick to close XPE
5. select the LE tool
6. Select the selector tool
7. double click photo again to reload XPE
8. click levels tool to crash xara beyond recovery
Phew, this one took 30 mins to get. I seem to be on a role tonight with bug finding - this and the annoying progress bar issue are recipe'd at long last.
Frequently, I get an error message when changing the time (sec) value of a frame or frames when in anim mode.
I think I mentioned this befire, didn't worry about it, thought it may be a one-off but it happens quite often.
I keep getting, when importing an image to XtremePro, green lines, seemingly segments of text boxes left about the screen.
There can be several or just one and they have no thickness or line colour in the ordinary sense, though they are editable in that you can stretch / shrink the length and most annoyingly, they are printable so if you don't notice them your printer does.
Is it just me or has anyone else experienced these phantom text box segments.
I should add I don't need to have any text boxes or any text in the current document for these to appear.

Not sure whether this has been mentioned. I was wanting to align some cutting marks (lines)with the page boundary, this means setting one of the X or Y dimensions to zero. XXP would not allow this. Up popped “Sorry, that entry is invalid. Please enter a positive non-zero number in the Width and Height fields.”
I have been able to successfully align images and cutting marks etc with page boundaries to zero in XX.
There seems to be another bug: I can't open Xara Xtreme pro Files with Xara Xtreme - it gives me an error.
Availor, this may not be a bug!
Remember that if your Pro file uses any of the new features not found in Xtreme, it would'nt know what to do with the file!
Now if Pro could not open a file created in Xtreme, that would be scary!

I stated this as a bug because Xara Xtreme is still availible, accordingly to what Antony and Charels said. Anyway, I have a problem now, since I have 5 days left until the trial is over, and I have many multipage files. Good thing Ican still install it on my laptop to extend the trial period :)
Actually that may be a bug after all; The file format that Xara uses is supposed to allow extensions to the file format, so that if there's any data in there that it doesn't understand, it just gets ignored.
All of the Pro files that I've attempted to open in regular Xtreme have opened fine, but with a warning about ignoring unknown data for "flash properties", for example.
Of course, that being said, I could imagine a situation in which multi-page data was stored in such a way that Xtreme would just ignore the whole shebang, so nothing would appear when you open the file. So you never know.
I believe that Availor meant that he is received the error message, not that the file fails to open at all.
I made a couple of tests, one opening an Xtreme Pro flash animation file with Xtreme. And a second opening an Xtreme Pro 3 page text .xar file using Xtreme.
Odd, that the error message for the multiple page .xar also mentions Flash ;)
The first image is the error I received when opening the flash animation file. The second is the error I received opening the multiple page .xar file.
Xara Xtreme opened the first page of the multiple page file created in Xtreme Pro.
You should certainly be able to load Pro files into older versions, even CorelXARA, but you will get warnings that the file contains new stuff that will be ignored. Sorry for the techo-gibberish message, that will be made for user-friendly in future releases.
