Sorry to hear. My condolences to the family.
OMG i've not logged in for a few months simply because of people like Bill's help I've become a lot better at Xara and post a lot less problems, Bill helped me with so many things from 2009 onwards, i can even remember having a laugh and joke with him at the end of the threads he helped me on. today i just logged in with a bitmap tracer problem after months and i am so saddened to read this :( it seems like i've lost a dear friend. the reality of life comes with death. RIP Bill - may the Lord bless you and thank you for being my 'Xara guy'. :(
Wow, quite a shock. I haven't visited the forum for a while but I'll miss seeing Bill's name and posts here.
You have been AWOL for some time Dennis.
R.I.P, Dear Sir!
Thanks for all your input, tips and love for all these years! We will all miss you greatly.
I'm shocked, this is very sad news. In the few dealings I had with him, he was very friendly and a restlessly creative spirit, always offering a helping hand to anyone and strangers.
My deepest condolences to family and friends.
R.I.P. Bill!
I haven't visited the forum in several months and was saddened to hear of Bill's death. From the early i/us days, he was always helpful and tireless with problem solving, advice, and encouragement. Although I never met him personally, I considered him a friend — perhaps that was his greatest gift.

Um, wow... this was NOT what i was expecting to see when i came to the board again for the first time in ions. I'm quite taking back by this news.
I remember when this board first started. There was a very small group of us, and Bill was always one of if not THE first to post helpful threads to & for new-comers. Bill you WILL be missed old chum. We wish you and safe and pleasant journey back to the source. You have done well. Rest in peace.
My sincere condolences to Bill's family and friends.
My condolences the family.
He will be missed by many.
Been away from the forum and stopped in today to find this very sad news.
Bill was so helpful and kind. His guidance will be terribly missed. He made a strong positive impact on so many people.
My heartfelt sympathies are with his family.
Been away for a while too ...
Very, very saddened and stunned to hear this news about Bill.
He was a hugely valued member at TG, giving help to so many ... always quick with a kind word and encouragement. He will be sorely missed.
It's a bit late, sorry, but would also like to send my condolences to his family and friends.
Regards
Su
I just noticed this. What a great pity. Bill helped me out on a number of occasions. It just remnds you how short life is, especially when we realise we're getting on a bit ourselves. A great shame, I only wish I had seen this post in December.
:'(
he was one of the good guys
So sorry to hear, a very helpful person, one that if you see his post you automatically click on the link to see his input, wow, may he rest in peace.
Long time forum user, been away for a while now.
I'm very sad to hear the news about Soquili. Almost feel like an old friend has passed away. RIP Soquili.
I've been away from TG for a long time and was shocked and saddened to learn of Bill's passing. He was always there to encourage and help. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace Bill.
I also have been absent from the forum for far too long ... and was shocked to hear this news. Condolences. RIP.
My condolences the family.
I usually only come to TG when I have a problem and can't find an answer in Xara help - I will then usually do a search here for answer. The answers to my questions are usually right in front of me and then I feel dumb for not being able to find them. Bill, and the other moderators and members here. have put up with my dumb questions for many years now. I have been busy with "other things" for some time now and did not notice this sticky the few times I have been here until today - some 8 months after Bills passing. I am sad to hear this news and would like to say something appropriate but you good people here have already said it so well. Bill - and so many others here - are special people.
You will be missed Bill. - jb
...
Still expect him to join in on some threads - sadly missed. When the 10th came round I couldn't quite believe it was a year!
Yes he is still missed. There have been times over the last year when I wished he could have still been with us offering his help and expertise.
Like all the others here, I can only say that Soquili was a great help to me on many occasions. He gave freely of his time and always seemed personally interested in me and my problem. He leaves behind a great legacy and he will be remembered by many because of how much he gave to all of us.
