Colours can set whole different feelings. Great work, Mark.
Yes, I agree with Gray. Nice colors on these last two.
Thanks a4hire and gray.
Four new XX5 eagles. Not much detail in these, for the simpler tastes.
I like that second coloured version. I think you have the eagle market as well as the skull market covered as well, Mark. Nice clean looking work.
Here's a new Xara creation called Illuminato.
Thanks for stopping by and dropping a line Gray. Skulls and eagles are my favorite subjects, your bound to see a lot of 'em here.
I like the addition of the wings.
Thanks Gray, I like wings too.
This is another design with a front and back. No plugins or textures used on this one. Simple but effective.
I like the two bottom ones in your 4-posted eagles. I also like Illuminato and the blue coloring is a different twist in the last post.
I agree with Nancy, the colouring does make an interesting twist.
Thanks Nancy and Gray. Here's another with a blue theme.
Very cool! The main skull is so nastily mean looking.
Thanks Nancy, grrrrr.
One of my more horrific pieces. This one is meant to convey a message, and as with all imagery the final interpretation is formulated in the mind of the receiver.
The "key" to this one is deep within the belly of the beast. Look closely.
I like the suttle images in the blue background. The last one is enough to give you nightmares. A little indigestion, maybe.:)
Glad you like. LOL, I hope not. Sweet dreams.
Egads! Super creepy creation this time around. I could give you nightmares, as Gray said. Awesome imagination.
Thanks Nancy, creepy is what I was going for.
Here's my Xara skull art for the day. I Was going for a rustic look with this one.
Very nice art Mark.
The roses are also nostalgic as well as rustic. :)
Thanks bill, couldn't agree more.
Like these roses too. Your style is perfect for the t-shirts you put them on.
Thank you Burpee, I appreciate that. I'm always trying to improve or build upon that style, figure the best way to do that is practice, practice, practice. Here's my latest entry.
I like this one a lot Mark. For some reason it makes me think of New Orleans.
Thanks Bill, always a pleasure to hear from you.
My wife likes this one a lot too, she says you're obviously a man of good taste.;)
Good stuff in here. One of my favorite things to draw with a tablet is a skull. Hope you don't mind but here's a sketchy skull that was inspired by your thread.
Done with the freehand pen tool. The grungy white is a chalk brush on a scribble.
Mark, you have a fellow skullist here :) Nice one Graphicsbag.
I LIKE this dapper skel. Very, very cool dude and he does feel Naw-Lins.
You're a skull making machine, Mark. I like the one with roses best.
Thanks graphicsbag. Don't mid at all my friend, in-fact, I thinks it's an awesome skull and I appreciate you sharing it with all of us as well as the information on the effect. Feel free to do so anytime.
I think you're Nancy, always nice to have like minded individuals around, twice a nice when they share their cool art! Glad you like.
I've been trying to streamline my production, hope to eventually turn them out even faster. Good to hear from you Gray.
I used the mosaic plug in for part of the daggers on this one, I am fond of the effect. Also used some fills and the rope brush.
That produced an interesting texture, Mark.
That's cool. I like how the mosaic adds all the detail. I usually stay away from live effects because it bogs my computer and corrupts my files but I drool when I see someone else can do it.
Gray - I thought so too, I like to make use of the plug-ins when I can, anything to make life easier and perhaps create an interesting effect.
Nancy - The live effects sometimes take a while to process, mostly because I work with large images, but I have not had any problems with corrupt files. At least not that I could associate with Alien Skin. I have had weird things happen with Xara on two previous occasions but I was able to "remedy" them myself. Couldn't tell you what initially caused them though.
Here's one with both the Symmetricus and the Hypnotech Battle Gear logos on it. All part of my master plan to dominate the world with skull themed t-shirts. Hahaha.
Don't worry too much, the plan is moving rather slowly.
I like the red as well as the addition of flames in this one, Mark.
Thanks Gray.
Here's my most recent edition.
continually amazed at how cool your designs are and how many you make without repeating.
The wings, flames and skull all go together so well.
