I guess the work done on the stroke would facilitate the bitmap warp aspect.
Also beefing up the tool would be great, like the ability to add subdivisions to tweak the shape inside.

Yes, exactly. The code behind the art brushes could be used to upgrade the mould feature, and possibly implement a mesh fill feature, - but it's a management decision.

Serif has this on their roadmap for affinity designer. You guys need to beat them to it.
using bitmap tracer
Ha! This is always the determining factor isn't it. So if the code is there, then it can be done. I must point out that CorelDRAW back in the 90s when I was working with it, had a variety of bitmap molds.Quote:

I have moved this thread to Dear Xara.
Someone asks how to perform a function. I provide a solution. Next thing I see it has been moved to Dear Xara. This forum used to be a pleasurable experience it no longer is. It used to be friendly, it no longer is. Time for me to go, I think
Why do you think it's unfriendly to move a thread Tony? It's just a function of the moderators to place threads in the forum that best matches the question.
In this case I guess Gary moved it to Dear Xara as it's more likely to get attention from the Devs as it's mainly a future request feature as is the Dear Xara forum.
Your method works well, and is a good solution for the current lack of a decent bitmap mould tool in Xara.
Puzzled :confused:
