Re: August 2014 Giveaway - Twenty-five Vector Icons
After following the posts between you and handrawn and using the book icon from your file as a png, which was what I wanted, I downloaded your updated dice file and having no idea what I was doing :D opened it in XView and got some interesting results. I opened these in Xara and found they were completly editable, colour change as well. I saved as png. fom XView as I had no idea what all the file formats were :o Anyway I've uploaded the png image and xara.file, perhaps you can shed more light on these, as I admit I have no idea what I was doing but what I got looked good. :D

Re: August 2014 Giveaway - Twenty-five Vector Icons
Thanks for all the give aways, I have been downloading all of them because I have been out of the loop for a while. One thing, in may 2012 I couldn't find a download button and in februari 2013 the link gave a 404 error. Could somebody please take a look, so I can complete the complete download, thank you.
kind regards dennis.

@stygg—
Did you follow my steps to the letter? You have a total mess here—you have PNG files cropped in that XAR document, when you should have the originals in it, including the ones you recolored.
xNView doesn't change PNGs to ICO files. You either (lose transparency) save as BMP and then rename the BMP to ICO, or you read very carefully and go to Mike's link, or export your pngs and use Converticon (my last post).
Attached is the original version, clipped to perfect sizes for multiple-resolution files.

I have to fix that; there isn't a link to the color palette!
Here, attached.
My Best,

Gary I was wondering if Irfanview does the same thing.

Larry,
Would you like me to Google it for you? ;)
I did.

Now, I cannot vouch for a program I don't use. I think your best bet still is Converticon online. I used it and got a complete icon set in seconds.

Re: August 2014 Giveaway - Twenty-five Vector Icons
Thought so, that is why I like using Irfanview to make icons. Thanks Gare. After what you said about Xview I wondered.
Re: August 2014 Giveaway - Twenty-five Vector Icons
I use IcoFX.
It does everything I want, to create icons from PNGs etc...
It used to be free, but, not any more.
Having said that, you might be able to do a search on-line and find the free version. (Still quite easy to find ;)))
I have IcoFX v1.6.4
Any higher versions might not be free.
If it's allowed, I can put a link here for the free version?
Re: August 2014 Giveaway - Twenty-five Vector Icons
I had that for awhile but I preferred the results I got from Irfanview. In fact I probably still have the setup for it.
