Re: Links open twice with Firefox 30.0
I think egg might know what the 'cross-site forgery' is - came up in another thread - basically it means that the xara site considers your browser to be infected with a kind of malware.... I think:
"Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) is a type of attack that occurs when a malicious Web site, email, blog, instant message, or program causes a user’s Web browser to perform an unwanted action on a trusted site for which the user is currently authenticated."

Re: Links open twice with Firefox 30.0
Guess I don't understand "JQuery Wrapper." Attempted to place your code example into a page header placeholder. No error message, but no effect, either. Think there must be more to it than simply inserting that code.
I've put a note on that site alerting people of the double-opening problem with external links in Firefox 30.0 Will have to get by with that until I can find a way to get a ticket request submitted.
Thanks!

My code would be preceded with: <script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
There was a chance that you already had JQuery running and I don't like overloading a web page with unnecessary calls.
Remember you need to remove the open in new window/tab attribute in the Web Properties, otherwise nothing will change.
Acorn
Code:
<script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script>$("a[href^='http']").attr('target','_blank');</script>
Re: Links open twice with Firefox 30.0
Finally got a ticket request submitted and confirmed. When I hear back from Xara, I'll post info here.
Thanks again to all of you ...
Re: Links open twice with Firefox 30.0
I've just added some external links from my site - they work fine in FF, IE and Chrome but double tabs open in Opera....
Re: Links open twice with Firefox 30.0
This problem has been fixed internally and we're just waiting for it to be deployed via a patch soon. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
Thanks
Rob

Re: Links open twice with Firefox 30.0
I'm having the same problem as the OP, except my _blank links are opening double tabs from simple paragraph text (not from graphics or script calls).
It looks like Xara is formatting my paragraph text using <span> tags (as line breaks), then applying separate a href= tags to each <span>, thus causing Firefox to interpret as two unique links to open simultaneously. See source sample below in red:
Code:
<img class="xr_rn_ xr_ap" src="index_html_files/1197.png" alt="" title="" style="left: 744px; top: 580px; width: 195px; height: 241px;"/>

I can manually fix the code on the server to correct it in post-published form but that would mean Xara would keep breaking it every time I published a revision.
Does anyone know when the patch might be made available or a better solution to fix the problem in the interim?
Re: Links open twice with Firefox 30.0
The patch was released earlier today. Open Xara and it should instruct you re the new patch.
