I have played around with various of the new features: Shadow, bevel, line2shape and more.
Have a look at this page which uses DHTML to create a "puzzle" from graphics created in XaraX:
Put the pieces together and see the final drawing :-)

Great puzzle, even though I had some problems with the pieces that went behind the picture.

My own website was needing a little sprucing up and I couldn't wait to get Xara X to give it a run for fun.
I stopped short of trying the the java roller feature. I was anxious to see something live on my site and I need more time to work on java side but here's my first attempt.

I'm no expert but I was pleased with the results. I enjoy Gary's tutorials. Maybe he can make an expert out of me one-step-at-a-time <grin>.

Wonderful site! It loaded very fast in spite of all the high quality photos.I didn't care for the side red & green pattern, but that's just my personal taste. I loved the whole layout.
I'm a(former)professional trumpet player-too bad I can't attend!

Hi Robin,
That the side red & green pattern was not my design, it's a background of their paper poster design, and they insisted that same pattern will be used on www.
Thanks for comments!

Loved what you are doing with the brush strokes and plug-ins.
As a user of Xara 1.5 the whole concelpt of plug_ins is new to me. Your tutorial is excellent. Perhaps you would consider doing a more in depth tutorial on plug-ins ?
