For example:
- Make a rectangle
- Apply a 3D extrude
- Apply a glow shadow
- Move extruded shape and the shadow does not maintain its position when viewed at certain zoom factors (this also occurs in Xara Designer Pro+)

you need to group it to prevent this as I recall
the glow shadow does not redraw correctly because it is based on the unextruded shape only is all I know - there will be a reason why it is only so at certain zoom[s] but if I knew, I forgot...
Jono, this has been a pain for ever.
The only "fix" is have is to remove and reapply the extrusion.
Removing and re-applying the shadow does not cut it.
Acorn
applying the shadow befor the extrude does work, so the extrusion is blocking the shadow redering in some way if it is applied first
as I said if you apply group to the object it behaves under zoom, should you not wish to redo the extrusion
Thanks handrawn and Acorn for quick replies.
I don’t use the 3D tool that often and only came across the issue by chance. Sounds like it’s unlikely to be fixed any time soon, but least there are ways around it.
