Xara will export your images at 96 and/or 192dpi. You can opt for JPEG or PNG in the Images menu to force Xara to export your image to your preference.

Thanks Gary. I do not want to opt, I want to opt out. I do not want my already jpg image to be converted and downgraded again to jpg nor do I want it to become png.

Drop an image into a blank photo template. This keeps your dpi and dimensions. Drag from the Gallery onto your actual design page (staging).

Hi Behzad,
Xara has numerous methods of opening files, they can be documents, animations, web etc one of them is photo. So if you right click on an image file in Explorer and choose open in Xara it's exported as a Photo.
