Here is an interface. (Finished and working). It also features roll-overs. (and they are working too!)
All done in Xara, all done by me, all done in 1 hour.
Go and have a look HERE, and feel free to comment. I'll listen to constructive advices.
Only for the fun of IT.

For one hour's worth of work, I'd say its quite an accomplishment.
What do I like:
1. Not too gimmicky yet still has style.
2. Easy to read.
3. Looks like there is plenty of room for content even though there is a large interface component.
4. Looks like it will be relatively easy to maintain.
5. It loads reasonably fast ... at least on my system/connection.
To me these are a good lessons that newbies should take note of.

I agree with John.
also...
+it goes very nice with text content.
-seems that it needs some tweaking to work ok on 800x600
Very efficient work. Thumbs up.

I love it.
I really like the way you have incorporated the rollover buttons, which are very tasty BTW, with the border design.
The color is unique as is the design.
Bravo!

It's nice but, in IE5 in a non-full screen window, if you resize it by dragging the window edge, a gap appears between the bits of rounded edge.

Good looking design, but at least in Opera I noticed a few glitches:
1) There's a gap between the frames, and I guess it is the same problem that occurs in Netscape as well: border and frameborder should be set to zero or no, and if I remember correctly you should also set the spacing to zero for the frames.
2) when you resize the interface the navigation button disappear and the far right bar space increases.
