adding a google map to a popup
Hi There,
Don't know why I cannot get this to work.
I have added Google maps in a page on it's own before but I cannot get one to show in a popup window.
I have a popup with a placeholder on it. I have put html code in the body section of the place holder but the map does not show. I get the Google map logo at the bottom of the placeholder and I get a position maker but everything else is just grey.
How do others do this. Can someone tell me how to put a map in a popup window.
Thanks for your help.
Best regards,
Steve.
Re: adding a google map to a popup
Not sure but maybe putting the map on another page and then using an iframe (Widgets > Embed a Website widget) embed the map.
Re: adding a google map to a popup
I added a new Layer.
On it, I dropped the Google Maps widget and embedded where I wanted to be.
On the MouseOff layer, I added a button and linked to the new Layer.
All worked,

Yes, linking to any layer is key. Otherwise the content of the layer will be hidden.

Hi There,
Thanks for the replies.
When I try to add the Google Maps Widget I get this image.

Anyone know why?

Re: adding a google map to a popup
Hi Steve:
Check this link out...someone else had the same message you displayed. It had to do with them using
the mapsengine.google.com embed code...instead of using google.com/maps

Re: adding a google map to a popup
Once you have your map set up, you need to find the Embed Code button and copy its content then click on xara's widget button.
Your earlier success was probably using Google Maps old format.
Search Google for Embed Map.
