Aichi M6A Seiran ( Clear Sky Storm)
I think I'll call this done for now.
The I-400 class submarines were the largest in the world till the 1960 nuclear subs. They carried 3 Seirans in water tight compartments on their deck. The wings, tail on the plane folded, with the floats being removed and stored in under deck compartments. The planes were launched with compressed air. The subs could travel anywhere in the world. They were built in too few numbers and too close to the end of the war to count. The sub, planes and boat are 100% vector. The water and background were drawn out in vector first, then touched up with a digital brush.

Love it Graham. Do you do the landscape in a similar manner to the sky?
Re: Aichi M6A Seiran ( Clear Sky Storm)
Thanks csehz, Ron, Gary, Larry for your very kind comments.
Larry I do the landscape the same way I do the clouds. I draw them and colour them in vector first, then I finish them off with a digital brush.

Thanks Graham, I suspected as much. Some day I hope I can stumble onto your secret. I have so much to learn with computer graphics and seeing your illustrations is always an inspiring. Both you and Ron Duke.

Wonderful work and fascinating theme. Is this piece just for your collection or is it for some book or exhibition? An exhibition of your work would be a sure hit.

Thanks again, Larry.
Thanks, spondoolix. I just add it to my collection on a CD disk.
Cheers.
