Basic drawing help
Hello
I am not "new" to xara but I new to creating graphics.
I have a very simple objective to create a house from basic lines. However there has to be a house inside of the house. I attached a picture Attachment 98929
So how can i make the inside house symmetrical to the one outside and having about 3 pixels of space in between the lines?

Re: Basic drawing help
You could clone (Ctrl-K) the outer house and then apply a scale factor percentage Width/Height reduction of 90% or a value of your choice, ensuring the Lock aspect ratio was set.
You could use the Contour Tool (Ctrl-F7) and set your 3mm inwards and have a single step.
It depends what your goal is; Xara has lots of approaches so be sure to share those that work for you for others' benefit.

Re: Basic drawing help
Thanks Acorn,
So this is what's happening when I scale it. Attachment 98933
Now the goal here is to have the second house that's inside to have even spacing away from the outer house. I know the house looks like an arrow but the person wants it this way.
Thank you in advance

Re: Basic drawing help
What's happening is the lock attributes button is not pressed.

Re: Basic drawing help
I think Larry has the aspect ration issue nailed. An easy way to create your house with in a house is to use the contour tool. Once you have your single house shape select the contour tool and drag inwards to create your contour set the contour steps to 1 and hit enter. There is a slider and right beside it an input box you can use either of these to set the contour width to your desired distance.
