phone pic
I photographed what I assumed would be a vastly overexposed pic with my phone and all I ended up with was a photo of the sun on what was to all intents and purposes a black rectangle.
Using the trial version of XP&G desiger to try the new features I used the Orton effect filter and the Fake HDR to end up with the attached.
Much better than the white spot and a black rectangle that I had originally.
It could still do with a bit of lightening which I'll try later.
Roll on PRO version.

Re: phone pic
Brilliant, just the way it is. The darkness adds to the richness of the shot.
I recommend you toss your good camera and use your phone for all your photography. This is a seriously handsome photo.

Gary
Tossing the good camera is too near the truth as I tossed it on the floor a week or so ago, so I might be trying to raise a mortgage on a new one once the verdict on repair comes in.
The phone is pretty good but any bigger than the attachment and you see serious lack of detail/resolution which no amount of tinkering is going to put back.

Re: phone pic
very nicely done Derek. I've been playing around with the P&GD9 trial and I do like those two filters.

Re: phone pic
That is a mighty fine photo Derek. It is nothing short of amazing from reading your description that you got it to this present state.
