Using Magic Eraser in PGD2013
Hi
I have been trying to remove text from photograph but unsuccessfully using the Magic Eraser. I have a photo of my nephew with the text over the image, I am not about infringe copyright but using the image as an exercise. I will not be printing the image. I wondered whether others had success in suing the tool as the videos displaying the tool all seem to generate unbelievable results. Is it just the various grey tones on my nephew's pullover that make it too difficult perhaps?

if we do not see the photo - how can we assess?

Oops, here goes with a blanked out face photo. I tried to use the clone and Magic erase functions but couldn't get the correct shades of grey to overlay the text.Attachment 92152

Hi Andy,
This should be do able. You need to erase small patches at a time and right click the photo group that's created when you use the clone or magic erase and choose flatten photo. This will give you a new photo to work with and you can get a better result with the magic erase. In the areas where there is a strong contrast in colours some times the manual clone can do a better job.
