Text Auto Formatting
I am sure the info is here on site somewhere just have not found it yet, how can I stop the auto formatting, indenting, tabbing etc of text line, columns and boxes, it is completely driving me nuts, I am sure some people love the feature, I am just not one of them, I would like to permanently turn it off some how so that every time I open a new file it does not do this anymore.
Thanks, Pat

Re: Text Auto Formatting
What product are you using? Your profile does not list a product so it's hard to give you a specific response.
I suspect that if you select all and select No Style from the drop down box, your problem will be solved.
But better still, why not use the Styles feature to create a new style or modify an existing style to your specifications. That is what the feature is for and it can make your life a lot easier in the long run.

Re: Text Auto Formatting
I think the problem is with tabs whilst typing. I too hope there is a way to turn it off.
For example if you type a line, and then indent the next line with a tab, then the third line will also be tabbed automatically - sure you can pull the ruler tab back, or you can no style, after the event, but that it is not helpful for on the fly text lines and notes

Re: Text Auto Formatting
Sorry forgot to mention which version currently on the newest version Pro X, but this issue started with the last version when they added the auto text indents, and formatting features, and the styles are set to no styles, yet everything seems ok to have tabs, indents, weird margins etc. Example when I created a a text column, it automatic is indenting about half a tab or so, I can drag the markers around and fix it, but it sucks to have to do this all the time, i am just wondering if there is a way to turn these features off entirely, for what I need, they are not needed.
