Eat your hearts out!
I just received a settlement check from the firm handling the pay out for claimants in the Hanson vs. Google AdWords class action lawsuit. For.... drum roll please...
$0.27!
The administrative time to enter my mailing address in their form, to calculate my share in the bounty, not to mention the postage does not indicate a great return on investment.
The best part is the line, "If you have any questions about potential tax issues as a result of this award, consult a tax professional as neither the attorneys nor the Settlement Administrator can provide you with any tax advice."
Wonder's never cease.

Don't spend all of it in one place Gary. ;)

Re: Eat your hearts out!
we pin cheques like that to the notice board.. strange to say, so far, no one has thought any of them them worth nicking - our 'best' is 0.87 GBP - its a hard way to make a living, royalties [gets out violin]
you would think that they could just be aggregated into a charity account, but I guess that would leave the auditors paper trails in a taffle
I guess $0.27 is not even going to buy a stamp for you to write back and thank them.... :D

Re: Eat your hearts out!
When we closed escrow on our house we got a cheque for 1 cent. So we just filed it with the rest of the paper work. I little while later we got a letter requesting that we cash it and it was upsetting their books.
