Question:
as many of you know I'm running Linux on several machines, and one of the nice features is i.e. the newsfeed service running for example in Ximian evolution or any other plain app somewhere on the desktop.
It just came into my mind to ask if you - the people at Xara - would be able to provide a newsfeed service (rdf, rss), where you might post new posts of the day!
As far as I know the format is XML with some special headers, that's it. Activating such a newsfeed in Linux (or Windows, there are some newsreaders as well, like 'feedreader') would allow us just to click the headline, and the browser will open up automatically to display the message.
Would be a very nice feature - but would it possible?
Maybe something to consider for AnthonyF...

Hi Jens,
isn't this what the notify button on the tool bar up there ^ is supposed to do? http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/confused.gif

John,
no, the notify button only keeps you informed about the specified thread, whereas a real newsfeed will display all messages right on your desktop as hyperlinks, waiting to be clicked...
IMHO a Xara newsfeed would be a great marketing tool: most Linux users are running a newsreader on their desktop, so it would help to spread the word about Xara X and all the other great apps from Xara.

Yea... but once you made the jump to linux who would ever want to come back. Sheesh I would still be running commodore 64's/128's if they where still in business. I am only on a IBM because the rest of business is... Except for the print shops...
