Colour images seem to feel as though you are looking "in the moment", B&W doesn't quite do that for me in the same way.

Very nice find Paul. Colour does provide a living feeling to the photos.
My grandmother was born in Lithuania and would probably relate to the first few photos if she were still alive.
Then again, maybe not. I took her to see the movie Fiddler on the Roof and asked her if the play reminded her of Lithuania. She said, no. They did not have theaters in Lithuania. :rolleyes:
I'm very impressed by their quality. You can't help but wonder what they saw in their lives. Traumatic times followed.
I actually prefer the old b/w movies as they were and hate it when someone coloursizes them many years later. But I have to admit seeing photos of days go by in colour actually makes me feel like I am there where as b/w photos always feel somewhat detached, some truly remarkable images there and I have to agree with pauland the the quality is indeed impressive.
