Light to scatter the darkness - Love
For those who are only just now discovering this virtual advent wreath I've been lighting each week since the last Sunday in November, each candle has a meaning and you can read about the first three in these threads:
Week one: Hope
week two: Peace
week three: Joy
Today we light the fourth blue candle for love. Love knows many forms, and like the candle flame, warms you and brings light into your life. May you all have a very 'love'ly holiday!
I'll post the final thread in this series on Saturday and we will light the last very special candle.

Re: Light to scatter the darkness - Love
One more to go.
Better get things sorted because it's nearly here!
Thanks Frances.
Re: Light to scatter the darkness - Love
Love is a wonderful candle. One of the attributes of love is very much like a candle for when it burns brightly, it also glows like the candle. The candle drips away it's own essence to display that brightness and human beings also do something similar.....often when they show love correctly, they also sacrifice something of themselves....so also burn themselves away as a candle does....who hasn't heard stories of people sacrificing their lives because of love.....probably everyone....just a thought about love which we often take for granted.....

Thank you, Frances, for the post, and thank you, Ed, for the moving thoughts.
