Is anyone else experiencing this problem when selecting a font. It appears to be somewhat random and doesn't appear to be isolated to any specific font but It happens whenever I scroll down quickly and try to select a font.

Is this just happening now or is it an ongoing problem.
If you open a new document, and try to select a font are you having the same problem?
Hi Gary,
It is an ongoing problem. Seems to have just started to happen recently. I also checked my XtremePro5 application and I'm having the same problem there and I don't recall having problem with that version previously. Very strange. I haven't downloaded or added any new software recently other than XD6Pro.
I sent the incident information on to Xara Support.

Zee have you added any fonts recently?
There may be a font that has become corrupt. This could explain why version 5 is also exhibiting the problem.
Could you tell what Operating System you use ?
I faced lots of font problems with Windows 7 and Office 2010.
Word 2010 does not even start if some old Type 1 fonts are installed, like Helvetica or Times and Outlook crashes when an Email using one of these fonts is openend. As I uninstalled these fonts already I cannot test with Xara.
The fonts can easily be spotted in the /windows/fonts folder as they have a corrupted preview.

Haven't added any new fonts. Running Vista and Office2007.
I may have done "get fonts" from XD6pro font gallery at one time or another.
Unless you specifically added a font from the XDP6 disc fonts they would not appear within the Windows Fonts folder.
The Font dropdown list only lists the fonts that are in the Windows Fonts folder (installed fonts).
I opened up Font Gallery in XD6 and noticed a font that didn't display. I deleted that font, did a re-boot and now everything appears to be OK.
Your suggestions that I may have a corrupt font appeared to be the solution.
Thank you all for your help.

It may just take a clean install of both programs if you haven't done so already. Almost sounds like the two programs are clashing on the same thing...whatever weird mystery thing that may be. In my line of work I've seen stuff I used every day and for years...up and all of a sudden start throwing errors and then a re-install fixed it. Hard telling.
