Rosie! postage stamp
A Christmas stamp based on our dog Rosie. I make our own family Christmas cards and print them on my inkjet. On the back of the envelopes I'll print this Rosie stamp. Printed larger than a regular stamp of course.
Shown below it is the first one I did in 2006 and printed on the envelopes.
Sadly though, the real Rosie died this summer on July 20th. On her 10th birthday, to the day. She was a golden retriever and died from cancer (Lymphoma.) It was a sad day. A sad week.
Having nearly 4 months pass now, she's still missed, but it's all good memories now and her spirit lives on. In a way, she'll never really be gone.
We still have a cat, "Boss."

Re: Rosie! postage stamp
I love it!
I make my own envelopes to go with my cards and letters, never thought of making a stamp for the back. I think I'll give it a try....now I just have to think of something as clever as yours is.

Great humor and clarity as always Bob. Your style appears so simple, yet it is not - there's much skill there which I sadly don't seem to have.
I'd really enjoy more sofafire tubes ;)

Terrific art, Bob, as always. Very creative.

Re: Rosie! postage stamp
Sorry to hear about your dog Bob. Cute stamp you made. You can get stamps made by Canada Post with your image on it. My daughter had some made with her dogs image on the stamp. She used them on her Christmas cards.

Great stamp Bob.
Makes the regular stamps a little mundane!

Groan....
Though until I read that I'd fogotten about stamps that needed some of my DNA to affix, they've been self-adhesive for some years here.
