Dolphin awards
Hi, I have been asked to do a poster for the local music industry..it is called the Dolphin awards. This is one of my attempts. It was all done in X4. There will be a little more info detail to go on...feedback welcome. Dolphins meant to be slightly blurred...thanks tj

Re: Dolphin awards
I really like the colours and the dolphins look good, but I found the slanted text kind of hard to read.

Re: Dolphin awards
very nice poster - great effect with the background and dolphins - but slanted text? - no, it doesn't work for me either....

Re: Dolphin awards
Great look Tao. Love the dolphins and water effect you created.

Re: Dolphin awards
Alternate suggestion to replace slanted text, I think it gives the impression of leaping from the water to enhance the dolphin theme but could be too repetitive for some tastes.

Re: Dolphin awards
I love it Roger. The slanted text is not the important details which are as plain as the nose on John's face. The slanted text is a very nice design element.
If the slanted text contained the time, date, and other important information then I would agree with the comments. But it does not. So I don't see the problem, eh?

Re: Dolphin awards
personal opinion of course - but I think its ugly distracting and pretentious - the slanting text that is
which is a pity - because the dolphins and the background are excellent ;)

Re: Dolphin awards
Sorry, I don't like the slanted test either Roger. If you need a design element there, I would prefer them to be slanted lines as opposed to text.

Re: Dolphin awards
thanks everyone for the feedback....in defense, the slanted text is an effect not readable info but it may make people look to see what it says...plus most people are under the 'influence' at the awards so it will look straight to them...tj
