Advice on Exara and FCP/ MAC
Advice on Exara and FCP/ MAC
Hi all!
I'm looking for a good 3-d graphic program (logos and text).
Xara 3-d looks great but I use Final Cut Pro HD with a Mac G-5.
I do have a Windows PC. Can Xara export to a file that works with
Mac or is it going to be too much of a pain?
Any suggestions as to software similar to xara ( affordable, easy to use) for a
Mac?
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Autodesk Maya is a filming industry standard. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet...112&id=7635018
Have a look at Modo as well

Xara 3D outputs simple vector based animations, it is not a polygonal modeling system.

Adobe Illustrator.
3D software is very expensive, you should research the subject and test the software before you purchase. Download the trial versions. Maya has a personal learning version.

Thanks guys for the responses!!
Cheetah 3d looks more like a modeling and animation program.
Sorry I didn't really explain what I'm looking for.
I take video of a local high school and college ice hockey. I burn DvDs of the games for coaches and players/parents. Its a hobby I do for gratis (my kids use to play for the high school) ANYWAY to get to the point. I want to take the school logos and make them 3-D animations with alpha channels -spinning,etc
just like the ESPN channel... I use FCP and MAC. What cheap and easy to use software would you suggest for that?
You guys are great to offer me advice!
