Antiquing or aging a drawing
I did this before but can't remember how I did it. I took one of my drawings and made it look like an old newspaper ad picture using one of the Live Effect tools. I just can't seem to figure out which one! I keep trying different ones that seem like they might work, but no success.
Does anyone understand what I'm looking for, or have a suggestion other than just going through the whole list of possibilities? Is there a filter for sepia changes?

Re: Antiquing or aging a drawing
If you have OptikVerve Labs' virtualPhotographer plugin Ron, it has an Old Newspaper setting. I've attached a sample of what it does.

Ron
forgive me for what I have done to your car !
first was simply a right-click fill with brown [RGB 60% 40% 0%]
second is optikverve labs virtual photographer filter with 'old newspaper' applied - this is free works fine with xara

hope this helps

Re: Antiquing or aging a drawing
You can do all-vector aging to retain resolution independence. You can do this using just three shapes.
The first is just a solid black shape with a saturation transparency type - to make it all greyscale.
The second is a solid sepia coloured shape with a stained glass transparency type - to give it a sepia look.
The third is a black shape with a fractal clouds fill, and a transparency of your choice - to give it a grainy texture.
Xar file attached.

A grayscale image shifted away from black in XPE level control. Then colorized, and made transparent. Rich
