Willy the Pimp
Ok, so his name isn't Willy (doesn't have a name) but it worked for a quick title... Below is my latest Xara work. It's a "mascot" of sorts for a website I'm working on. Not much to say otherwise, it's a pretty straight forward xara illustration. Enjoy. Ask if you've got questions.

I like it! Joe. Shading, colours, graduated fills (I wish I knew how to do that),$100 bills, how about printing us some?

Re: Willy the Pimp
Great character drawing, Joe. Memorabile, so he will be easily identifiable with the web site. Excellent use of tints and shades for the fills.

Re: Willy the Pimp
Excellent drawing, Joe; your skill with caricature is obviously well-honed. I sent you a PM with an idea I wanted to bring to your attention.

Re: Willy the Pimp
It's a nice drawing. However, I have to say, that seeing life from the other perspective, I would fail to give grandeur to those who really do "keep a good girl down".

Re: Willy the Pimp
Thanks for the kind words. This really isn't much more than a repeat of what I've been doing with Xara for the last few years (sadly). Maybe one of these days I'll get the time to expand my focus a bit.
Sally,
Not sure how this is "giving grandeur" any more than if I'd drawn a thief would of been glorifying breaking and entering.

Re: Willy the Pimp
I like it! Very nice the way you've used the highlights and shadows of your character. Your use of forshortening works as well.

Re: Willy the Pimp
We could all use some expanding Joe...
Nice work!
