Lightwave, huh?
Oh i haven't seen that movie yet, i expect it to look good. I'm very curious about the whole ombient glow effect they're using throughout the movie. Gives it an unusual feel.
Cool James ya mail away bud http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
I think the deal is Gare that a number of studios did certain shots. They all however followed the cartoon type background to be true to the nature of the cartoon.I believe the look is basically channel manipulation with a tweak or 2.
One of the reviews I read was done by {cant remember the studio} LW for the landscape and snow effects, plus matte paintings by another guy.One of the other effects houses did the concept art and then designed the machines, think they used XSI {dont quote me on that] But a number of different software was used, both off the shelf and proprietary written stuff I imagine.
Speaking of Software, how ya doing with Maya Gare? Are you doing any modeling? animation? Would be cool to see some of your Maya work... http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
