animated gif problem,Please help?
Please help!,
Im trying to get this simple animated gif,[please see file atatchment,
thats the only way I knew to post the gif],
as you see the animation is very-bumpy(for lack of a better-word),
and I wish it to be "A Smother animation", Im just guesing, but
would it be easier to have the top "object" follow a curved-path
(a curved-line?) to smooth-out the animation?, if so,how
do I do it?, or, any other ways to do-it?, would be greatly appreciated!!
thank you!!
John.

Re: animated gif problem,Please help?
John,
I probabled did same thing as you, just used more steps. I only moved one pixel from image to image. Probably not the best way as I recall people doing cool animations with just 4 images or so but it works.

I rarely take the time to just play with Xara but this time you got me :)
John, I gladly post the xar file in case this is smooth enough.

Juergen...
This is cool...I especially like the way it works with "persistence of vision." I can still see the leaff after the quarter circles have gone back together!
Very smooth and interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Re: animated gif problem,Please help?
HI Guys!,
THNX to all who responded!!,
I know you guys are curiouse what it is, so im going to explain if I can,
its a "cross-section" of an "Optical-surface",[2- discs of glass, about
2-in.-thick, 8-in. dia.]. Im prepairing a set of TUT's. on how
an Optical surface can be ground. in the TUT, Im trying to explain to my students, how the top-disc grinds a "curve" into the lower-disc,
by the "back-and-forth-motion" of the discs ground-together.
as the discs are beeing ground, top-disc goes "concave", and
bottom-disc goes "convex".[PS,,a sandy-GRIT is used between
the discs, to cause the "glass-reoval"].
Im using animated-GIF's instead of Flash, because they dont have
to be very-long, there's just alot of them, and I Love XARA!!
Question??
can I use the "Blend-Tool" in some-way??, for these short-tut's??
just curious?
THNX Guys,[or gals]!

Re: animated gif problem,Please help?
Yes,
thats smooth-enough juergen!, THNX!, WOW, you and
Intbel, do nice work!!, thnx!,
I like the spin-effect,,
In my TUT' Im going to extend the disks-movement to
both-sides, so my students can see how the glass is ground
to make the optical surface.
Any files you can post juergen, I would appreciate.
I take-it "the 2-key-presses" are used to "straighten-out" the Lines??
did I get that correct??
Is that a differant technique, than making the "disks" follow
a "curved-Line??"
or do'es the "key-combo-press" cut the "Square-in-half??".
THNX again!!
