My main issue is finding the proper colors to use... I know how to shade and what not feather transperincies, but I cant find the proper colors to use without it seeming to unrealistic or too standoutish like it doesnt belong... Guess just experimantation?

What makes a car's paint look highly polished and glossy is reflections and long gradiations of color.
A flat surface will reflect the sky and the ground with the brightest part of the reflecction coming right above the horizon.
Look in the magazines at the car photographs and you will see the best examples because these photos were taken by the best car photographers in the business. And they really know how to light their cars both outside in natural light and in the studio with lots of reflected light.
In either case the cars look like jewels.

I love the long shot you did here, really shows the cars body off very well!!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Hi Rian,
I hope you don't mind, I've never drawn an automobile in Xara; but wanted to see if I could make it look shiney.
