New to Corel have questin about y & x axis

I just started using corel 10 I only need it for a few things, but am VERY GREEN! I know that the y and x axis is used to center, but how do I use it? Does it correspond to the h & width boxes? I know this is beyond most of you on this site, but if anyone has the time could you give me a quick tip. THANK YOU!

I am not sure what you are asking exactly. Are you referring to the cross-hair cursor?
