Look at this WONDERFUL website - Can WD9 (or WD10) do this?!!
Here's Google's official site for the new Nexus 7.
http://www.google.com/nexus/7/
As you'd expect from Google, it's pretty top notch. Can WD9/10 produce something like this?
It has full-screen (autoscaling) video playback.
Parallax scrolling (background images scroll slower than foreground text boxes to give an impression of depth) FANTASTIC!
With everything autosizing/autoscaling - it's just beautiful.
Anyone?

No..
And WD10 won't be released until first quarter 2014.. :)

For $89 I should certainly hope so! At that price they should also throw in for free a team of highly experienced web designers on-call [we know Xara has the best coders so they wouldn't be needed]

There's also the $49.99 version, John.
Re: Look at this WONDERFUL website - Can WD9 (or WD10) do this?!!
#-o DOH! Well, it can't do it then
Re: Look at this WONDERFUL website - Can WD9 (or WD10) do this?!!
You would have to look at something like wordpress for something like this, and that's free.

Just remembered a great site, similar to the one in the op (although not with the video) which has been done with xara and shows what can be achieved. http://www.n90media.de/

Sorry, but that is not even remotely similar, it is neither parallax nor responsive.
As I'm sure you are aware, skech - the Parallax effect (or parallax scrolling) in web design is the technique that features layered images that move around the website in different speeds/perspectives creating a nice and interesting 3D illusion (another example is http://www.kitkat.com/), while a responsive website changes its appearance and layout based on the size of the screen the website is displayed on.
Xara's software has no technologies that can create or emulate such dynamic coding from a static design using what is fundamentally still a vector drawing application (camelot).
The n90media site is a very good example of what can be done by using Xara's software and intelligent imagination rather than hacking at the supplied templates, but is not similar to the nexus 7 site in the slightest.

sketch said similar to, not exactly the same. And I agree the site he linked to does seem similar and regardless it's well done and effective.
