Nudge Rotate
This might seem a daft question, but is there a command that allows you to nudge rotate an item just as you do when you move an item with the arrow keys?
I have just tried to marry two halves of a scan and had to keep guessing the rotation value to line them up.
Or perhaps there is an easier way I haven't discovered yet!
Many Thanks in advance.

Re: Nudge Rotate
You can use the "Angle of Selection" on the Selector Tool's Infobar.
See attached image.

Re: Nudge Rotate
Soquili,
Thanks for the info, I have already tried inputting angles of rotation in the box and it gave me what I needed but it was a bit hit and miss.
I also tried drawing a line on each scan and snapping the end points together, then moving the rotation target to the snapped end points and then rotated.
This worked as I could see the two lines converging, so this seems the way to go.
The only thing I noticed was with the snap to objects selected the two line endpoints (not the ends I snapped together as my rotation point) weren't snapped over each other when the little magnet sign appears.

Re: Nudge Rotate
I see I forgot to point out the little arrows beside the angle input field.
Simply clicking on one of those will rotate the selected object by 1 degree.

Re: Nudge Rotate
Soquili,
Thanks for adding the info about the arrow, it's the little bits of info that can be the most useful.
Egg,
Thanks for the video, I forgot to mention that I too adjusted the transparency to line them up, it makes it so much easier.
With your prompt replies I was able to finish the job last night and everything worked out OK.
Another triumph using Xara and the power of the Forum
