Update from 5 to 7 - text problems.
Hi,
I previously used Xara Web 5 and have now upgraded to Premium 7.
I love the new features, but I am have problems with existing website.
My website seems to have lost the formating and text repel features. Can this be re-formetted somehow? :o
When you try and edit text, it duplicates the text on current page, to all other pages, and on a 38 page website this is extremely annoying.:'(
PLease can any one help!!
Thanks,

Could you please attach the design in question? It's hard to guess what could go wrong without seeing your file.

You can use this - http://www.largedocument.com/ - and supply the link :)

Sahara... Just a suggestion .... you need to split up your 37 pages into more managable groups. you can then link the pages using the web properties - link to Option. I also suspect that you need to optimize your photos to reduce overall size of the web.
While this has nothing to do with your text problem... it would be easier to update your pages if you do separate your pages into separate .web files

Hi, All photos are optimized or were before upgrade.
Can 5 upgrade straight to 7 or is that one of my problems??
Is web designer not capable of coping with multiple pages??

Sahara..
I don't know if you can upgrade to WD7Prem from xara xtreme 5 for a discount... but maybe... check the Xara web site. The use of WD7 will not cause the problems you describle.
Web Designeer is capable of handling any number of multiple pages ... no problem... but for your ease of handling the 37 + pages.. it would be in your interest to organize the web site into mangable groups.
Trying to update a large site such as you describe can be difficult for the Web Developer to keep lined up and updated if you must upload the entire site each time you make a any change on a single or a few pages
It really comes down to how much effort you are willing to put into handling the site.
