Re: CNC machining website
Great to see sites like this.
For me your site shows traits that are often lacking.
The home page immediately has a hero image and a strapline that states the core of the company business.
The next section states what the company does for the industry sectors it supports.
All of the copy emphasises what the company can do the for it's clients.
So many websites are in essence "this is who we are, take it or leave it".
This site is "This is what we can do for you".
Bravo.
Re: CNC machining website
Thank you, Paul, with such a large site it was important that the home page was clear from the start. The team here who worked on the site spent many an hour coming up with the best way to display the information in a clear way.
Re: CNC machining website
Awesome also you are getting work from the US. Bravo.

This is such an interesting comment because I think clients often don't understand how much work can go into these things. I'm always amazed how long it can take to find suitable stock images for some sites and I think clients think I took ten minutes clicking around stock photo sites to get the images.
As Gary said - well done on the US client, you'll have to tell us all the secret... ;-)
Re: CNC machining website
Thanks to all. Thankfully this particular client understands fully and has appreciated the work done. We have a few clients in the USA as well as in France, UAE and Spain, and fingers crossed a quite large client in Germany soon.
Re: CNC machining website
Nice work. How do you price a large site like this? Also do you like the client playing in the backend of wp or your company being in charge of changes?
Re: CNC machining website
We always supply info on how to correctly make changes, although some are on maintenance contracts. In regards to pricing, we price by the amount of work involved and what value we bring to the website design and the business.
Re: CNC machining website
Cool, because at some point the client keeps adding to the pages and that I usually price outside of the scope. Have you ever had a client bastardize the website because they went and deleted or messed with the site.

Only once, a long time ago. Clients are aware of what work we will and will not carry out from the proposal and subsequent contract. Any work fixing issues brought up through their changes is subject to an extra hourly charge. If you have a client who does not understand what they can and can't do and what we will and won't do, then they should not be your client - move on.
