XXP4 issue with grouped 3D extruded photos
If you take a photo, extrude it and then group it (with a reflection, say, although the problem shows if you just apply a group to the single 3D photo), then move it, the picture moves about within the 3D block. It seems that it moves in the reverse direction to the way you move the block.

Odd effect.
What I was trying to do was to try to replicate the effect on page 11 of the release notes, and was hoping that grouped 3D objects would work as one object for 3D rotations, but I guess that feature will be one for the wishlist :)

Confirmed - I can replicate this bug in Vista Ult
Re: XXP4 issue with grouped 3D extruded photos
if you shift-control-click to select 'photos' within each extrusion in the group, you can move without this happening
at least up to a point - I have only tested it with a group of two extrusions, and simple movement

I posted the 3D photos file, and a few more details in another thread so you can see exactly how it's done.

Re: XXP4 issue with grouped 3D extruded photos
I can replicate this issue in Windows XP if I just group the extruded photo,
but if I add text, and group this with the extruded photo, there is no issue.
By the way, this just has to be the quickest way of making a software box known to mankind. (see attached).
Re: XXP4 issue with grouped 3D extruded photos
just tested that with text 100% transparent [invisible] - nice one Bob :)

Cheers Charles, pretty straight forward and it is an effective result.
However this doesn't address Tims issue.
Even with your file the same thing occurs with a grouped photo extrude.
With your file, remove the clipview, select one of the photo extrudes, now group that object. Once grouped, if you move it about, the photo shifts.
No Tim noticed this after adding a reflection to the extrude then grouping the two objects, but as he discovered, and I've confirmed again - there's no need to add anything to see this bug.

This has been fixed. And I don't see the effect on the latest build.
