Canvas causing me to pick up white color on all layers...
Okay so I am relatively new to Painter 11 but not new to digital painting. I understand a bit about how the layers / canvas works in Painter.
The issue i'm having is that my canvas is just blank white, but the layers on top will always pick up a white "paint" color making it nearly impossible to get the right colors when painting in the blank area of a layer above the canvas.
Is there a way to "dry" the canvas layer or basically keep the layers on top from picking up its white "paint"???
Thanks!

On the layers pallette, uncheck pick up underlying color.

Sorry for dragging up guys, but I've been looking for a solution to the same problem. I find that unchecking the pick up underlying colours will stop the pick up of colours from other floating layers, but not the canvas itself? Is there no way to 'freez' the canvas so that it doesn't influence colour pick up on above layers in any way? Thanks for any replies :)
