Illustration and Photography competitions.
The deadline for both competitions has been extended to March 23, 2001.
The selected, award-winning pieces will appear in Communication Arts
magazine, in either the July Illustration Annual or August Photography
Annual.

As a reader of Communication Arts Magazine since it's first issue in 1959 I can tell you this magazine is the best. The reason why is it has been owned and published by the same family. Dick Coyne the founder died several years ago and his son and daughter-in-law have run it since. The format design has changed little over this time and the content is superb--(especially that guy who write theh Tech Review column ;-)
The contests are the most entered and most difficult to get accepted into. A typical Annual receives upwards of 5000 to 12000 entries, of which they publish 200-250. Getting accepted into one of their five Annuals, Design, Advertising, Ilustration, Multi-media, and Photography is about as great an honor as a design professional can receive.
