Google Search Description
Hi Everyone.
I'm using Web Designer plus for my site www.3ddetailing.co.uk .
Recently Google has been displaying my website description in search results as below
"11 May 2018 — Ceramic Coating Specialists, Paint Enhancement, New Car Protection . Tel 01772 382171 For A Free Quote. Car Detailing Preston Lancashire"
I'm at a loss to see were Google is picking up the 11 May 2018 info from, it's not something I have put in the description & I've checked the html code for my index file & it's not in there either.
Does anybody have any ideas?
Many Thanks.
Phil.
Re: Google Search Description
Phil, your domain was created 14 Dec 2014.
Sometime after a Google Review panel, referenced as <div class="created">2018-05-11 16:36:13</div>, was created, probably by you.

Re: Google Search Description
Hi Acorn.
Thanks for your quick reply.
I've looked at the html code on my index page but I can't see <div class="created">2018-05-11 16:36:13</div>, were would I find this & is it ok to then delete it?
Phil.

Phil, no you don't do that. Deleting something Google has generated would never be helpful.
It is hidden is the rendering of <div class='sk-ww-google-reviews' data-embed-id='239002'></div><script src='https://widgets.sociablekit.com/google-reviews/widget.js' async defer></script>, which is in your index source, so looking at the source will never find the date. You need to press the browser's F12 and open the Elements tab.
At sometime in the past, you added a widget mid-right on you index page.
This has grown off the bottom of the page.
You probably need to fix and rebuild this but Google has moved on so I don't know what you did or what you now need to do.
The other is to ensure you have lodged your site properly with Google so it is actually being crawled.
