Web Page Size...Help an Old lady Please? :-)
Im sure this has been asked on here before, but I tried and cant seem to find the answer... Anywayyyy...
Im using Web Designer 9 Prem. and my website looks alright on all screens that Ive checked, except it looks absolutely SILLY on my Macbook Pro 17" screen. (the page is really tiny)
1. Is there such a thing as... fit to page...no matter what browser they are using?
2. If so... where is it???? :)
3. If not, does anyone know how to at least make it appear larger (automatically) on a Macbook? .. sidenote, it looks fine on my Iphone so Im guessing its not a Safari issue?
Well...sorry again if this has been asked a bazillion times and thanks in advance for anyyyyy help on this matter.
Lori, Pittsburgh, PA

Welcome to TalkGraphics
Can you give us a link to the site?
Macs display at 72dpi vs Windows 96dpi. So theoretically, things published at 96dpi will appear larger on a Mac screen. But I'm not positive.
Maybe one of our Mac users will have a better idea.

Thanks so much for your quick reply and welcome, Mr. Moderator Emeritus Dude, Sir :D
Here is the site Im talking about...
www.alleghenypestcontrol.com
Thanks in advance for any help!
PS: I checked out your Sterograms, really cool!..but have to admit, never even heard of them before today...you youngins are teachin this old lady all kinda new tricks in here already!! Great forum here also...so glad I found it!!!
Re: Web Page Size...Help an Old lady Please? :-)
Unless Ms Lori G is older than 72, she should not refer to Mr. Moderator Emeritus Dude as a youngin.
That said, the width of your page is 900 pixels, and in some respects that is not very wide. I was thinking it was closer to 760 pixels but I'm wrong. So the page looks smaller than it actually is. Odd.
Re: Web Page Size...Help an Old lady Please? :-)
@gary, it's because the page height is only 600px - no vertical scrolling - hurrah.
In passing, a gentleman never enquires of a lady's age.
Fifty years ago, I was half your age.

I was never very good with thought problems, half the age I was 50 years ago? :)

Well, if I recall what my age was 50 years ago then yours must have clicked back the same amount.
I assume you were thinking half my (Gary's) age now is 36 so adding fifty gives 86.
