Navagation Bars - Selected?
Ok. So. When I view my website after exporting it, the links are automatically purple because they have been selected from previous previews. I guess that is by default. I know how to change the look for mouse over and drop down, but is it possible for selected? I know how to do it if I was creating a navbar to export for something like Dreamweaver, but I dont know how for a Xara website, or if is possible.:confused:
Please help, I don't prefer purple.:p
Oh and I did a search on navagation bars to see if I could find something on it without posting another thread and only thing I found on them was the thread I myself made on how to export them for something like Dreamweaver. ;) I tried though.:rolleyes:
Re: Navagation Bars - Selected?
You can always edit the default.css :)
Re: Navagation Bars - Selected?
As Sledge say's, just edit the css.

a[href] {color:#0000ff;}
a[href]:hover {color:#ff0000; cursor:pointer;}
a[href]:visited {color:#800080;}
a[href] * {text-decoration:underline;}
div {unicode-bidi:bidi-override;}
span {unicode-bidi:bidi-override;}
sup {font-size:0.5em;}
sub {font-size:0.5em;}
EDIT: Don't know where the sticky out tongue smiley comes from ????
Re: Navagation Bars - Selected?
OMG thats awesome! At first when you told me that I was scared..sounded hard..plus I don't know .css...but that was so simple!! Thank you!:D
Man I love these forums, I've never been a part of such a helpful group of people!:D
EDIT: lol love the sticky out tongue smiley. Dont worry, I understood it, before seeing it, however, it would have been less scary to be told to edit the .css if I was shown it first. lol

vBulletin automatically adds the smiley when two key characters are entered.
In this case it was the full colon and lower case p in the line:
a[href]:hover {color:#ff0000; cursor:pointer;}
You can disable smilies in a post in the Additional Options area

Point taken.
Re: Navagation Bars - Selected?
I think using the code tag in place of the quote tag will prevent smilies.
Code:
/* Document settings */
body {background-color:#ffffff; font-family:sans-serif;}
a[href] {color:#0000ff;}
a[href]:hover {color:#ff0000; cursor:pointer;}
a[href]:visited {color:#800080;}
a[href] * {text-decoration:underline;}
div {unicode-bidi:bidi-override;}
span {unicode-bidi:bidi-override;}
sup {font-size:0.5em;}
sub {font-size:0.5em;}
Re: Navagation Bars - Selected?
Lol, its ok sledger, I was able to despite it.:)
Hey, can I got ahead and ask a couple other questions? I don't want to waste making another thread on simple questions..one of them actually have to do with this so it's ok..
When I make a change in my website and export it again, the default.css changes back to..well..default..I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't a way to fix that..or at least that it wont be problem if and when I get my website up for the public..and if theres no way to change it will I have to fix it each time I make a change to the website then??:confused: It's not a huge deal so I'm not all too worried about it.
Nevermind about the second question, I realized it was simple enough to search for so I copied what I had typed so far, did a search, found it..with a bit of searching..and yay!:D
But I would like to know about my other question.;)
Re: Navagation Bars - Selected?
Let me go ahead and add another question to this thread::p
If I want one webpage to be one size and another to be a different size..how do I change one without changing the other? They both always change...it's also abnoxious that it expands/shrinks from the top so you always gotta be moving the content..but I dont know if that is fixable..however..you would think by default it would expand/shrink from the bottom..makes sense to me..:o

Download Bill Taylor's XaReg and disable 'All Pages The same'
