3D feature in Designer Pro 6 - transparent center part
When I draw a circle (or ellips, or...) with no fill, and apply 3D to it, I would like the center part to be transparent. As it turns out, I get a white fill with the 3D lights applied to it.
Any suggestion on how I could make the center transparent ?

Re: 3D feature in Designer Pro 6 - transparent center part
The center cannot be transparent due to the way the Extrude Tool functions.
You can remove the center by creating a smaller circle and subtracting if from the larger circle.

Thanks, Bill, not exactly what I hoped for, but I can experiment a little further with your suggestion
:)

You can also create a circle, set a line width, and Arrange > Convert Line to Shape.
What are you trying to accomplish?

Sorry Gary, but that doesn't work. See attached: on top the subtracted circles with the 3D result en below the circle converted to shape and its 3D result.
The idea is to set up a kind of cage, consisting of several 3D circles with increasing angle2 values.

Gary wrote Arrange > Convert Line to Shape not Arrange > Convert to editable shape as I think you've done ;)

I think I understand now.
Something similar to the attached?
I used Gary's convert line to shape, extrude size of 2, no bevel.
