Editing a mask shape with freehand tool
If I have a shape I can edit it with the freehand tool, a squigly line appears and I can change the shape. It works well, but if I use the same method in mask mode it doesn't edit the shape the same way. See attached... Am I missing something? Should it behave the same? Or is there a different way of doing this in mask mode.

Re: Editing a mask shape with freehand tool
Use the shape editor tool and just select the nodes in that offending area. Have a look at the attachment
Re: Editing a mask shape with freehand tool
The nodes are so tight together I need to zoom to max and even then it's sometimes tricky to select the one I want, and then I need to tweak handles etc. after deleting nodes. The freehand tool does such a clean job when editing a shape outside of mask mode I don't know why it's like this in mask mode.
Re: Editing a mask shape with freehand tool
I see this too
There is the option to draw your mask shape on a normal layer and ony paste in place on the mask layer when you have finished it
[In fact you can also cut a mask shape out of the mask layer and paste it in place onto a normal layer - make the adjustment - and then cut and paste it in place back onto the mask layer]
Re: Editing a mask shape with freehand tool
Thanks guys, I ended up just using a semi transparent red shape instead of the mask and then the combine shape tools. It seems much easier to edit this way using the freehand tool.
