Great image, Rich. Had this been perfectly symmetrical it would have been boring. The silver balls hanging down at the bottom adds gravity, and ‘errors’ like the straight section at the top provide that little mystery you often find in nature. This adds up to make it more realistic and far more interesting. It’s always nice when accidents like that happen. =D>
Rich, this looks awesome in my opinion. Is the metallic look XARA's default chrome plug-in? I will have to play with this more in the future if it is.

XXP3/Expression3.2 I did the concetric circles in XXP and drew the stroke shape. The stroke was designed equal distance and repeating. You can do something similar with a Xara brush. The stroke would always be equal distance and dependent on width. A brush is dependent on width, but has a spacing parameter. I colored in E3 with a reflection map, and in Xara with EC 4000 with a TIF environment. With EC 4000, you can have grouped objects as long as they are not touching. Or, just a multiple selection. Othewise, it colors as a single piece.
There are other differences, but not revelant if you don't draw in E3.

Something I never thought about. I thought it was a pain to color with EC 4000, but wondered if I could paste attributes. Both vector and bitmap worked. I was testing and editing the fills.

Love the first image, Rich :thx
I thoughtt I would try making an on screen EC 4000 palette. The idea would be to paste attributes by selecting a color. I need to finish the palette to see the range of colors.
The silver image was from a silver gazing ball wwith me photographing the ball. E3
