Hello
I have installed XaraX1 from the new CD.
Should I be able to view the movies, by using the link in the help menu?
I see the list of movies, but there are no links to actually start them.
I am sure that there has been a thread about this, but I cannot find it.
I can view the movies by staring the Cam Player.
I am using XP pro SP1.

There should be little squares next to each movie link that launches the movies.
If you don't see these, then it seems to indicate a larger problem... i.e. you have Activex controls turned off or they're not working.

Hi Mike ... same problem here. If I figure something out I'll let you know.

Hello
It is not a great inconvenience, but it is intriguing.
There are in the install folder, some strange files, including XML4.msi and MSIExecWin2K.exe.
The latter when double clicked, says, 'wrong OS or OS version for application. The former installs XML4, what ever that is. There is also
Movies.exe. This runs just three movies.

It sounds to me like you have a problem with your Microsoft HTML Help installation.
This article describes how to manually remove and re-install HTML Help : http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;201420
However you are running Windows XP which treats these files as system files and does not allow you to manually modify these files.
According to the article, if you re-install XP Service pack 1 it should refresh the HTML help files.
I would also check to see if you have any anti-virus packages running, especially anything that blocks scripts and Active-X controls, if so, I would suggest disabling your Anti-virus package and see if that makes a difference.
