Paper type suggestion for Flyer and Business Cards
Hello,
I have designed the following Flyer and business card and I would like to ask you for paper type suggestions.
Will it be better to use gloss or silk paper finish?
Thank you very much,
George Stathis

Probably a question for your printer?
Has the business card graphic been squashed? The girls face looks fatter.

Actually it was! Thank you very much for the observation.
Re: Paper type suggestion for Flyer and Business Cards
You want a coated stock vs a dull stock. The coated stock will hold the saturation and detail much better.
As sledger, ask your printer for his recommendation. Printers have stock they have purchased and if you can use these without the printer having to order stock you are better off.
There are also some on-line printers who do what is called "gang printing" where they put several cards on on one plate and print all these cards at once. This is a much more affordable way to print but a method that does not do anything to help your austerity program

Biz cards in the UK are normally from 350 up and printed on SRA 3 paper size.
Re: Paper type suggestion for Flyer and Business Cards
If you want the business cards to have a quality look and feel, 400gsm card with a matt laminate is hard to beat. As for the flyers, gloss is not as glossy as gloss laminated print and looks more like silk in comparison which looks just fine. 120gsm for cheaper flyers and 170gsm for a bit more quality feel.

You're welcome.
