Folder name not accepted by host
I'm trying to upload files to Homestead which I use as a free preview host for websites I am working on. However Xara uses a folder name with.htm_files and Homestead does not allow the (.) dot in folder names. So I can't create a new folder on Homestead to hold Xara images. Is there any way around this? Thanks.

Welcome to TG Forums cyberspirit
You can rename the folder to index-files
Open the index.htm in a text editor (I use Metapad) and do a search and replace for index.htm_files then replace all with index-files
Re: Folder name not accepted by host
Thank you Sledger. I just became acquainted with Xara Xtreme acouple of days ago and fell in love. However, I'm a bit intimidated. Are there any books available? Does the software come with a manual?
Re: Folder name not accepted by host
Hi Cyberspirit,
I believe the manual comes with Xtreme Pro and is available as an added item with Xtreme standard.
No books are available for Xara Xtreme as publishers have not been willing to do so.
The best sources for the program are here at Talkgraphics and the XaraXone. The XaraXone has more than 10 years of monthly tutorials, workbooks, and galleries of images created with Xara applications. Ask your questions here and you will usually receive several answers and techniques very quickly.

Would you consider a mind meld:)

I would need to have a mind for that and I lost mine years ago. :D
